Judy-Meg Ní Chinnéide
Judy-Meg Ní Chinnéide is a radio producer, presenter and trainer, specialising in radio documentaries, drama and educational programmes for children. She works in both English and Irish and many of her projects have been supported by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s Sound & Vision scheme. Her programmes can be heard on Newstalk 106-108FM; RTÉjr Radio; Raidió na Life and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
Her short creative audio piece ‘The House’ recently won the ‘Best Irish Produced’ Audio Award and was nominated for a HearSay Gold Prize at the HearSay International Audio Arts Festival 2017. A documentary feature, ‘Turas: Learning Irish in East Belfast’ was broadcast on Newstalk 106-108FM and was awarded a Bronze PPI Radio Award in 2014. Another documentary series, ‘Spioradáltacht ar Leith’ (A Spirituality Apart) for Raidió na Life was nominated for an Oireachtas Media Award in 2013.
Judy-Meg is a certified FETAC/QQI Trainer. She has served as committee secretary of AIRPI and as a member of the coordinating committee of CRAOL, The Community Radio Forum of Ireland. She also works as Oifigeach Forbartha & Oiliúna for Raidió na Life (Development & Training Officer), where she focuses on funding, training and outreach work.
